There is a possibility that you could get sick from a fancy rat bite because rats are commonly known to have some deseases and sicknesses. I actually have a fancy rat myself and my rats vet said that is the only thing to look out for if you do get bit by a fancy rat. Just make sure it doesnt get all red and puffy.

Yep! Although scientists use lab rats to test medicines and the like by making them sick, they can be sick independently too.
yes
no if rats eat green beans they will get sick.
Pet mice and rats do not carry any diseases. Wild rats caused the black plague in the middle ages.

Rat culling is a technique used by breeders to make sure only the rats with desired traits breed. Breeders that want healthy rats monitor all of their rats, and any that are blind, deaf, or always sick are 'culled,' which is a nice way to say 'killed so they won't breed.' If unhealthy rats are allowed to breed, their babies will be unhealthy too, sometimes sicker than their parents, and all of the breeder's rats will eventually become blind, deaf or sick, so they are culled before this can happen. This is very harsh and unfair to the unhealthy rats, as they could be spayed or easily kept separate and live out a happy life without reproducing, but some breeders don't want to waste food, time and care on rats that will not be bred.
Not all cats will easily catch rats. Some cats will catch rats even though they are fast to run and hide. A cat has hunter instincts and will hunt their prey, they will stalk the prey until they catch it. Many cats will not go after animals like rats that can harm them.
My pet rats, which were Hooded rats, where very intelligent. They were easily trained to give 'kisses' (to place their nose on my nose) with a simple command. They also, however, where smart enough to work the latch on their cage, so they could easily escape.
Rats typically do not vomit unless they are very sick. Their stomachs are very efficient at digesting food, so vomiting is rare in healthy rats.
They get blind with old age, and red-eye rats have more chance of blindness. They can get tumas, and cancer, which they normally get from old age.
