Windows 8 is an operating system and Microsoft Word is an application. It is not part of Windows 8. If you want Microsoft Word on a computer with Windows 8, then you have to buy it separately, as it does not come automatically with it.
You sure can have the Windows pack on your iMac inclueding Word, Excell, Powerpoint. But you can't have the Publisher, but the word for the iMac is the same as the Publisher you can make banners and loads of things! Hope helped, --A
