Yes there is updates for a certain pieces of software about once a week.
One can get G4 memory updates for a Mac through Macmemory, macsales and Apple. Apple would be the first place to look as they are the company that makes the Mac.
I recommend checking for updates on the mac app store.

what updates? please be more specific, are you talking about from Tiger (10.4) to Leopard (10.5)? or something else?

Since Mac OS-X 10.2.8, 10.3 and all of its updates were released. Then came 10.4 and we hav had 10 significant updates and I am currently running the most recent version: 10.4.10 Mac OS-X 10.5 will be next and they are currently developing it.
