Predictive software looks at trends and patterns in order to be able to predict what might happen in particular circumstances. Examples of this might be stocks and shares software.
The best tax software program is in the eye of the beholder (user) and, therefore, not a directly answerable question. However, the best software for your specific circumstances might be determined by researching the complexity of the software program (can it complete all necessary forms and filings required by your assets and/or company?) and it's reputation in the industry (via consumer reporting websites).

I'm not sure the gist of your question, but might be able to give some info. Are you trying to decide to use Symantec vs some other software? I used to recommend Symantec several years ago. However, in the past few years, their program has become so bloated, and slows down the computers it runs on, I no longer recommend it. That hold true for the Corporate edition which is for companies, and for the Home version, too. I recommend Vipre Anti-Virus / Anti-Spyware. AVG is decent, too.
