Mac OS X has Java already installed. You do not need to download it and install it currently, and Java apps should have no problem running. It has to be a real java app, not a Windows exe file compiled that also uses java, that is still a Windows program. When Mac OS X 10.7 comes out, it will not have Java installed by default, and you have to install it manually just like you do on Windows.... just download the Mac version and install.
Mac OS X comes with Java built in. Running Software Update (from the Apple menu in the top left corner) will find the latest versions of software for your computer. Alternatively the latest version of Java (currently 1.6) can be directly downloaded. (See links below)
You can indeed run Java on Mac OS. Java is not dependant on the single computer architecture but depends on the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). One of the most powerful features in Java is that it promises WORA (Write Once, Run Anywhere(eg. Mac, Windows, Unix). If you can't run java on your Mac do one of the following:- Go to Apples website -> Support -> Search for "Java for Mac"- Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java for your Mac.**From Oracles website (Java developer)
Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner and select About This Mac. This will open a window which will give the version of Mac OS X you are running. From the Apple menu select Software Update... which will check if there are any updates available for the Mac.
If the computer is running Mac OS Lion or higher we recommend the 2011 version.
As long as you have the latest version of Java installed you'll be able to play Runescape on a mac.
It's possible that the Mac OS X version that is installed on your MacBook does not meet the minimum system requirements for iTunes 9. The minimum compatible version of Mac OS X is 10.4.11. If your MacBook has not been updated to at least that version, just run Software Update ( -> Software Update...) until you're running 10.4.11. To tell what version of Mac OS X you're running, go to  -> About This Mac.
Click the apple icon on the dock and click on "About this Mac" and your Mac will tell you the version number.
The game Fiesta will only work with computers running the Windows operating system. Unless the Mac is running Windows it will not work with the Mac.
No unless the Mac is running Windows XP or Vista as there is no Mac OS X version.
SPSS version 16.0 runs under Windows, Mac OS 10.5 and earlier, and Linux. The graphical user interface is written in Java. The Mac OS version is provided as a Universal binary, making it fully compatible with both PowerPC and Intel-based Mac hardware.
Java enabled machines (PC, Mac, Smart Phones, etc.) all have their own version of whats called the JVM (or java virtual machine). The JVM takes source code written by programmers and converts into the corresponding machine code. For example a JVM running on a PC would convert the source into machine code corresponding to a PC and so on.
