∙ 12y agoYour computer does not have an SSID. The SSID is the name given to a wireless network when a network is created. You can choose to broadcast or not broadcast the SSID of the network. If you hide the SSID, then your wireless network will not be "visible" to other computers looking to join the wireless network, meaning that computers will only be able to join your network if they know the SSID beforehand.
If you are trying to create a network with the wireless card on your computer, then the name of the network created by your computer should be your SSID.This only oly for people who have laptops I think okay any ways look for your intrnet connection on your laptop and then check the networks you use and then that's you SSID isn't that alot easier :)

∙ 13y agoI had to go through the same thing you're going through right now and that is why I picked this question. Just do the following instructions:
1. If you can't find your wifi code on your wifi router, then you this tells you that you must buy a new wifi router and register because it either expired or you don't have one. Your wifi router will be next to the computer and plugged into it and it will be white. And I am saying this because the only color it can be it white.
2. You can buy your new wifi router at Best Buy or Walmart. Walmart is cheaper than Best Buy, but Best Buy will probably have more information on how to register your new wifi router.
3. Bring your new wifi router home and register it. This means that you will make your won code that you will not forget. There will be instructions in the box on how to register. My mom had no problem registering. Your new wifi router will come with it's own newwork name.

∙ 12y agomost PCs have an icon at the bottom right of the screen but MACs have it in the upper right hand corner and you just click on it and it tells you your wifi strength along with the server your using.
