'WEP' is a form of wireless encryption. Your PS3 is asking for the same passcode that you use on your PC or laptop, to connect to your wireless network.
Go into settings, then general, then passcode lock, enter your passcode then click change passcode

WPA and WEP are not compatible with each other. They are completely different kinds of encryption.
