WPA and WEP are not compatible with each other. They are completely different kinds of encryption.
Yes save enternt
WEP encrypts data between the wireless client and the access pointGod save the king!
A wep key has nothing to do with Pokémon Pearl, it is your wireless router's password.
wep and wpa both are encryption standards to make a more secure wifi network, so your xbox needs to have the same wep/wpa code that your router is set to. if you have to choose between wep or wpa, choose wpa if possible because it is virtualy uncrackable and it will save your bacon

no i had to change mine back to a wep
it doesn't actually start with a wep key, you need to change this on the bt router configuration page which i am trying to find as well
Usually a WEP key is intentionally hard to recover. It may be that you will need to simply change the key on the router/access point to something known and then change it on all currently connected devices.
The Nintendo DS Doesnt have a WEP. Your Wireless network has a WEP key. If you talking about your MAC address for the Nintendo DS then the MAC address of the Nintendo DS can be found by going to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup in the game's menu. Select "Options," then "System Information." The MAC address is displayed on the top line.
the wep password is your WiFi password
WEP has been replaced by WPA.
Change your routers security to WEP and you're good to go!
