You can use the same method used in previous versions of Windows: Open the Windows Explorer (press Windows-E). Right-click on a disk or partition, and select "Properties", to check the free space.
In windows:(I have absolutely no idea, if someone knows the answer replace it here)In mac:Right-Click on Macintosh HDClick "Get Info"Look under the General: heading and you should see the word "Capacity".Whatever is listed to the right of "Capacity" is the capacity of the disk.Note that in mac you can do this process with any hard disk, but right click on that disk instead of Macintosh HD.In Linux:(Again, I don't really know, can someone help me out here?)

depends on the computer
Pls. help !
The number of bytes a hard disk can hold is referred to as its storage capacity. This capacity is typically measured in gigabytes (GB) or terabytes (TB), where 1 TB equals approximately 1,000 GB or 1 trillion bytes. The total capacity is determined by the number of platters, the density of data stored on those platters, and the technology used in the hard disk.
basic disk status
A Windows Boot Disk operates in DOS command line mode.
A no disk error is the result of the hard drive crashing. Replace the hard drive, and reinstall the proper Windows software for the specific computer.
