Backslash is a character on a keyboard. Backlash is the inherent slackness in the mechanical parts of a micrometer which allow an extremely small movement of the operating barrel without any corresponding movement of the measuring 'anvil' of the micrometer.
To type a slash on a Microsoft Surface tablet, locate the forward slash key (/) on the on-screen keyboard or physical keyboard. If using the on-screen keyboard, you may need to switch to the numeric or symbols layout by tapping the "?123" key. For a backslash (), hold down the "Alt" key (if using a physical keyboard) and press the key located above the "Enter" key. If you're using the touch keyboard, you may find the backslash on the symbols page as well.

Follow the backslash with another backslash: System.out.println("\\ " \"); will display \ " \ on the screen.
The proper name for a 'backslash' in print is a 'reverse solidus'.
The bar symbol on the keyboard is called the "vertical bar" or "pipe." It is represented by the character "|" and is typically found on the same key as the backslash (), often requiring the Shift key to be pressed. This symbol is commonly used in programming, mathematics, and as a delimiter in various applications.
I think the backslash is right underneath the question mark on any computer.
