For starters, you need to go to the Format dropdown list at the top of your document. Secondly, choose the "Font..." option. Now that you're in this menu, the left most list contains all of the Fonts (Times New Roman, Lucida Console, and so forth). The center list is the Font Style, that's what you're looking for. The list to the far right contains the size options for your characters. And finally, the box under the center list is the Sample box, it'll give you an idea on how your work will look after you've made the changes.
The italics style.
Placing text in italics does not change how it is spelled. It is the same, in italics or not. This is what Mya looks like in italics: Mya.

And if that doesn't work?You can remove all formatting from the answer by copying the answer to Windows Notepad, blanking the answer on WikiAnswers, saving it, and then re-answering the question using the text you saved in Notepad.
