To remove the outline around a text box in MS Word, right-click on the text box and select "Format Shape." In the Format Shape pane, click on "Line" or "Borders" and choose "No Line." Alternatively, you can also select the text box, go to the "Shape Format" tab, and click on "Shape Outline," then select "No Outline."

Text box is a box within your document that you can enter text into. The text within the box will have its own formatting separate from the rest of your document. You can move the textbox around the page without dirupting the contents. Wordart is essentially an image made from text that has special effects on the text itself such as coloring, shading, arching.
Perhaps the item called Text Box in Word's Insert menu or the Text Box icon in the Drawing Toolbar will ease your confusion.

you click on your word art text and a box should pop up around it if not click on the edge of the text or in that general area. once you get the box you put your courser on one of the lines and you hold it and drag the text where ever you want it.
Click on 'Insert.' Scroll down and click 'Text Box.'
