yum install vlc
yum install mozilla-vlc (optional)
Open a console/terminal, type ¨sudo apt-get install VLC¨, enter your password when he screen prompts you, then it ubuntu will get VLC and install it for you.
Download the VLC for Linux and then you have to run the setup to install the program.
unistall it and install new vlc player
Just go to VideoLan.org and download the windows version of the VLC Media Player. From there auto-install will guide you through it.

Got to applications>accessories>terminal, then type sudo apt-get install vlc and push enter, enter your password at the prompt, then after it installs, got applications>sound & video>VLC
To install Wine on Fedora 10 from the terminal, use the following commands:suyum -y check-updateyum -y updateyum -y install wine
From a terminal type: sudo aptitude install vlc
RT Linux is a specific distribution of Linux, as is Fedora. You can install RT Linux over Fedora, but RT Linux isn't a program you install in a Fedora installation, but an entirely different installation altogether (and meant for different things; RT Linux is meant for specialty devices where the machine needs to manage devices and calculations in Real-time whereas Fedora is more a desktop/server distribution.)
