The following instructions are for Intel-based Macs, only. Windows will not run on the older processors without expensive and poorly performing software.

Note: You can only use one partition at a time. Although the dormant partition icon will be visible on your desktop, you will not have access to any files or applications under that OS.
If you need to transfer a file between operating systems, you'll have to email it to yourself from the appropriate operating system, burn the file to CD or DVD, or transfer across a network, using a second computer as an intermediary (and yes, Macs and PCs can talk to each other across a network).

Once the default OS is set, your computer will automatically boot under the selected partition. If you want to use the other operating system for a session, restart while holding down the option key, select the non-default disk, and click the arrow. You will not need to reset your default on restart unless you deliberately want to change it.
Installing Windows on the Intel Mac is usually straightforward and painless; however, if you run into conflicts, consult the instructions you printed in Step 8 of Section 1 for troubleshooting tips. Or ask a teenager to help you.

Not without installing Windows on your Mac. You can use Macintosh Boot Camp or Parallels to install Windows on a Macintosh computer. Remember, once you install Windows on Mac you must into install security software for that Windows partition.
Use Bootcamp, which comes preinstalled on the iMac, to install Windows on your iMac. You can the dual boot to Windows and play any Windows game you want. Know that you will have to install security software on the Windows partition if you go online of do email on that partition.

UB Funkeys appears to be a Windows application. In order to run this on an iMac, you will need to install the compatible Windows OS on your iMac using BootCamp. Simply goto: Finder > Applications > Utilities > BootCamp Utility Follow the prompts and have your Windows XP/Vista install disc handy.

Windows Movie Maker can only be installed on an iMac if you install Windows on a Mac. You can do that with Boot Camp or Parallels. However, your iMac already has excellent movie making software that came pre-installed that is just as good as Movie Maker. It is called iMovie. Open it and give it a try.
There is no iMac format or Windows 7 format. Photos stored on the iMac and a Windows 7 pc are in the JPEG format. Either computer can read this format.
