Irregular verb forms can have accent marks (such as "fuéramos" which is a form of the verb "ser.") Accent marks aren't used to show whether words are regular or irregular. The accent in "fuéramos" shows that the syllable with "e" gets the stress.

It's important to use them because they are part of the spelling of a word. In general, accent marks tell you how to pronounce a word just like individual letters do (for example, é sounds like "ay" while è sounds like "eh"). Of course a French person will still easily read something written without accent marks (which is done sometimes when a message is in all capital letters) just like we could read something in English without any apostrophes and with lots of spelling mistakes. But that doesn't make it right! Always write and type with accent marks!
In Microsoft Word, select "symbol" from the "insert" menu. You can then choose from a wide variety of Unicode symbols, including vowels with various accent marks.
To make an accent mark on a computer, you can use keyboard shortcuts. For example, for Windows, you can hold down the Alt key and type a specific code on the number pad to create an accent mark. For Mac, you can hold down the Option key and press a specific key to create an accent mark. Alternatively, you can use the character map tool on your computer to insert special characters with accent marks.
That would be "Good and how this the heat?" in English. Because WikiAnswers cannot add accent marks, the word "esta" could have an accent mark over the a. That would make the sentence clearer, as it would mean "Good and how is the heat?"
