On my computer, when I first bought it, the Action Center had a message about backing up either on disk or external hard drive. Also, a program named Microsoft Windows Backup is the program that does it. It can be found under 'Computer' with a search.

hopefully you created back up disks when you just bought your computer and when it had it's factory settings. But also most brands have a recovery partition that they made to bring your computer back to factory settings. but some brands just have a basic partition that will just bring your software back to the last time it booted correctly.
