Open the Safari Preferences (it's on the "Safari" menu) and click the "general preferences" tab. Put Google.com in the Home Page field, and it'll open Google every time you open a new Safari window.
Why you'd want to do this with Google I don't know; just to the right of the URL field at the top of every Safari window is a search field. Enter text in that field and push Return, and a Google search will happen.

Go to the Google page you want to make your home page. Once there click the name Safari and then click Preferences. Click the General tab and then look where it say's Homepage. Right under that click "Set to Current Page".
On Safari, you can push the little arrow by the house icon, while your on google, and push add or change homepage, then push 'use as only homepage' or 'add to homepages'.

Depends on if you are on an IOS device or Windows. Go to settings in a Windows and internet options. You will see the search engine you have and you can make google your search engine there. On an IOS go to settings and then to Safari. In Safari you will find search engine at the top of the menu. Open that and pick google from the list given. Leave settings.
To find out how to make google your homepage it will depend on what browser is being used to access the internet. The browser, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc will have a help menu giving details of how to set a home page.

If google chrome is your default web browser. Go into your other preferred web browser (IE, Safari, Firefox, etc.) and enter its settings menu. There should be an option to make it the default web browser.
