Well, you can't. Not like that anyway. You need to find out what the file type is and then download a program to open it. Do a search online for the file type. If it's something like Microsoft Word, you can download a viewer and don't necessarily have to download the program.
I'm assuming you mean that the file is unrecognizable. If its the flash drive you need to download drivers for it or you may be using a drive not compatible with an older (Win 98 for example) computer.

Fat 32 isn't an error. It is just the format of the drive. You should just be able to open it as normal from the computer menu. It may not open because it may have corrupted files on it.
To format a SanDisk thumb drive, first connect it to your computer. On Windows, open "File Explorer," right-click on the thumb drive in the list of drives, and select "Format." Choose the desired file system (FAT32, NTFS, or exFAT), adjust any other settings as needed, and click "Start." On macOS, open "Disk Utility," select the thumb drive, click "Erase," choose the file system, and confirm the action.
To format a write-protected SanDisk Cruzer Slice 32 GB pen drive, first ensure the write protection switch (if present) is set to the "unlocked" position. If there's no physical switch, you can try using a computer: connect the pen drive, open Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac), and attempt to format it. If the drive remains write-protected, you may need to use command-line tools like Diskpart on Windows to clear the read-only attribute, or check for software provided by SanDisk for troubleshooting. If all else fails, the drive may be malfunctioning.
