If the image editing program supports it, choose from the File menu, Save As and Gif format. If this is not possible, then another image editing program or an image converter can be used to perform this task.
With the cursor (arrow or whatever) hovering on the gif image, right click and select which option you wish to do (save, copy, set as wallpaper, etc). Nice feature works with 'bmp' pics too.
