Make sure your not pressing any shut down buttons and if that doesn't work, take it to the professionals at best buy or somewhere else, you can email them to. Good luck.
It could be down to a virus or a hardware problem.
Make sure the fans inside are clear of fluff and dust. It could be shutting down due to overheating.
Check the power supply fan in a desktop, also. The power supply could be intermittently failing, due to component failure or overheating.

You can remove any virus from System Volume Information, by shutting down System Restore, restarting your computer and then start System Restore Again. When you shutdown System Restore, all Restore Points are deleted (including the virus(ses)). When you restart System Restore, it automaticly makes a new (and clean) Restore-point. Good Luck! If your computer randomly restarts while using it, your computer may be overheating. Check your computer for dust and remove if necessary. Random restarting could also be due to malware or operating system damage. If this is the case, ask your local computer shop about computer repair.

It allows you to restore your computer to a previous state incase of a system problem.
Right-click on My Computer and open Properties. There will be a System Restore tab. Click box that says "Turn Off System Restore".
