The reason being, if you want to remove Windows Vista, you will have to either (a) Re-format the hard drive: which erases EVERYTHING ON THE DISK! or (b) perform a downgrade installation to Windows XP Pro or Windows 2000 Pro. If you reformat the disk you erase everything, including the operating system (which is Vista in this case). Since your computer has no operating system it is no longer able to function (you can still turn it on, but you get a disk boot error). You will need to re-install a different Operating System, or Vista again if you wish to do so, in order to have the computer function properly.
In windows vista you can only turn UAC on or off. In windows seven you can choose when you want it to appear like just after installing a program or changing a windows setting. You can also choose if it should dim the display or not.
One can turn off Windows Vista updates by going to their Start button and finding their Control Panel. After locating the Control Panel, one can go to the System tab. At the interface for the System, one can go to the "See also" area to look for the Windows Update settings information and change the settings for the updates in Vista.
By going to the start menu ans shutting down
A surface is a base of something. Also a windows surface is a tablet which can turn into a laptop.
You need to check the firewall service, it must be running.
If you are running Windows Vista or Vista SP1, it's because of some logout/shutdown/sleep bugs that are still present in that operating system. If the computer won't turn off after waiting for a while, do a hard shutdown (i.e. hold the power button for a few seconds until the computer turns off). In general this won't have a negative result for your computer, but it would be helpful if Microsoft could get the bugs out of Windows Vista sleep/hibernation/logout.
When i try to shutdown my Windows Vista Ultimate, it doesn't shut down! it just restarts! I just installed my Vista and it is updated and everything. To turn it off i have to manually do it with the switch! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?!?
