would be hard to make one thats completely waterproof. it would be cheaper to just buy one- there really cheap to buy online i got a one for £3 recently

It all depends on how you use it. If you use it often and you need to always hold it in your hand then I would recommend an iPad sleeve. I posted a really good iPad sleeve in the Related Links section that you can buy on eBay. Now if you use it in like construction or in rough situations then I would recommend a hard case that covers the front.
