My answer:
Use a script called 'DontshowTranslate.user.js'
in Greasemonkey firefox extension.
1- Install Greasemonkey firefox extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/748/
Greasemonkey allows you to customize the way
a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.
Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites,
are already available at http://userscripts.org
You can write your own scripts, too.
Check out http://wiki.greasespot.net to get started.
restart Firefox.
now Greasemonkey is installed.
then load the script 'DontshowTranslate.user.js' inside
2- go on this page:
http://userscripts.org./scripts/show/60261
click on the green install button
save these two little gems somewhere on your disk for future use.
now Google Translate is gone.
if you want Google Translate back
disable the script in Greasemonkey.
i hope it helps.

ps: in Google Chrome it is a native option of the browser.
To add the Google search bar to Firefox, click on the search bar on the top right of the browser. Then, click on the magnifying glass icon or the drop-down menu next to it, and select "Add search engine." You can then choose Google from the list of available search engines. If Google is not listed, you can visit the Google homepage, and Firefox will prompt you to add it as a search option.
You can go to the website version at Google.com or download the google toolbar for your web browser (if you use firefox there is a Google search bar already in your web browser)
Firefox does not have an official toolbar. You might be referring to the Mozilla Firefox browser. Mozilla Firefox is a web browser used to navigate trough pages, just like Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
You can prevent OpenDNS from accessing Google search in Firefox address bar by using a Firefox addon " I am feeling lucky". Manual method Type about:config in address bar search for keyword.URL and change the values with http://www.google.com/search?q=
go onto Tools, add-ons, and then enable or disable the tool bars you want or don't want.
I think your question is wrong ...but if you want to set Mozilla Firefox as your default browser you need to go to Google .com and simply write on the search bar "free Mozilla Firefox download".
Answer bar is a tab you can download to help find information. It can be downloaded on phones, internet lunches like Google chrome and Firefox and you can also use it on twitter.

It's a system called auto-fill and it is implemented in Firefox to ease up typing too much in the address bar. To disable this setting, open the firefox browser. Then go to settings. Go to the Advanced Tab. Then to the General Tab. Uncheck "Search for text when I start typing" and you are done.
by the search bar on the top right hand corner of the browser is the insignia for what your default search engine is and if you click on the arrow and choose google
First type about:config in the address bar and find the string "browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone". Change the value of this string to false to disable the automatic virus scanning in Firefox 3, and change it to true to activate it. (ignore the warning they give you, this is safe to do)
In View menu you can enable/disable the Toolbar. Select 'Toolbar' option to bring it back.
