How you you copy and past on a MacBook Pro?

If the application supports it just highlight the words, sentences, etc, then right click and select Copy then insert the curser where you want to paste it and again, right click the mouse and chose Paste.

You can also go to the upper Apple menu and click on Edit and chose Copy/Paste there also.

Try pressing the following keys in order: command- shift-4. This will convert your cursor into a selection tool that you can then drag across your screen (the web page) or area you want to capture. This places the image on your clipboard which you can paste to any other application.
