An example, I have had my MacBook Pro for around 3 years now (almost reaching that mark) and it is still working just as well as it did when I first purchased it. It is still working at top speeds and everything in it works just as well. I use my MacBook Pro at school, home, office and even in the garden sometimes when I need some light. My MacBook Pro has gone through drops, water splashes and even a fork hitting the screen. All the same, it still works just as well.

Personally, I would get a macbook pro. I have one (the 13 inch one) and it is really good. I really didn't like the macbook white being - white and I didn't like the shape either. I know that macbook pro's are more expensive, but you could use a student card to get a discount and if not I still think that they are worth it. But that's my opinion.
