You should be able to turn off the log-in password in your Accounts Control Panel.
A password can protect from intruders accessing your computer physically, however, for total laptop security, you should consider protecting against key-loggers and viruses.
The best way to unlock or reset your password would be to use the Windows Setup DVD that should have come with your laptop. If you didn't buy the computer brand new, you need to contact the person you bought it from to get the password so that you can login and change it to something you will remember. If you did buy it brand new, but don't have the Setup DVD, contact Toshiba. They can verify that it's your registered laptop and help you with resetting your password.
Awful question = Stupid answer! What password have you lost - access to your operating system (If so... what operating system are you using?), encrypted volumes, bios password, hard drive password, MBR?
If your work laptop is broken, you should immediately inform your IT department or supervisor. They can help you with repairs or provide you with a replacement laptop so you can continue working efficiently.
you reset the computer and the password should be gone, or type a random password if its wrong click I forgot it will take you into the settings for that account so you can change anything you want. Example Password, Wallpaper etc
It's not recommended to to that you disable passowd for you Admin account because it will leave your laptop more vulnerable to viruses. But if you must: 1. open control panel 2. go to User Accounts and Family Safety. 3. click on User Accounts 4. Click Remove Password it should no longer ask you for password unlock when you boot the laptop.
There is no correct or in correct way to do it. A hot-swappable device can be removed while running the computer. i.e. if u have a faulty harddrive that is hot-swappable you can quickly remove it and slap the other one on and continue working.
NO, I would'nt say no but it depends. If the wifi you pick up with your laptop is secure with no WEP or password on it then yes you should be able to connect. If it has a WEP or password on it then you will need the WEP key and password to connect and use the wifi. Also the networks you pick up may be Ad-hoc networks these types will not allow you to connect to the internet. So, If theres no password then yes, If it has a password then you need it.
well, for one thing its so that other people you are with can't just go on and do whatever they want to your laptop an invade your personal privacy. if you have a username and/or password , then they would need to know it in order to log onto your desktop and do whatever they want.
One reason that the manufacturers have factory warrenty is to have some say in how well and reliable the laptop is when it leaves the factory. If you work ion the laptop circuits you risk wreaking the laptop not just wreaking any warrenty. Qualified, trained, experienced people should work on laptop circuits.
