It doesn't matter whether the NIC is inbuilt or connected separately , the speed of the card depends upon the Integrated Chip in the hardware used and on the network cable.
If it is on a laptop, then it is. If of is on a desktop then you have to look at the plug. Open your computer case, if you network plug is on a card (card may look like you video card and others around it) then it is not integrated. Integrates is just a way of saying built on the motherboard. Just because you may haven integrated nic, does not mean cannot add a better / faster one. Just gets card.
Network Interface Card (NIC or LAN card). This card enables PC's connectivity to existing Network. NICs are nowadays Integrated onto Motherboards or can be bought seperately in form of PCI Cards.
A network card, also known as a network interface card (NIC), typically plugs into a motherboard's expansion slot, such as a PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) slot. In some cases, it can also be integrated directly into the motherboard. The network card connects to a network via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly, depending on its capabilities.
An integrated motherboard is one which has some of the "cards" built-in, such as NIC (Network Interface Card) and VGA (display).
Proccessor (CPU), video card, PSU, Motherboard, Hard drive, Memory/RAM. the Network card and the sound card are normally integrated on the motherboard, but these are required too.

Firstly it's called Gigabit and Megabit network cards. Gigabit is ten times faster. 100mbit vs 1000mbit :)
An integrated video card is "integrated" into the motherboard. That means the motherboard has a video card built in. A "discrete" video card means that you have a separate video card, one that typically plugs in to one of the expansion slots.
Lan Card provides a port for a network cable to connect the pc to a network.. LAN : Local area network or Ethernet Card and Network Card
a "wireless card" is a network card that receives a high frequency signal from a wireless router or wireless access point. Same as an Ethernet Card/Network Interface Card(NIC), only wireless. A wireless Card is a network card which connects to a radio-based computer network, unlike a regular network interface controller (NIC) which connects to a wire-based network such as token ring or ethernet. A wireless Card, just like a NIC, works on the Layer 1 and Layer 2 of the OSI Model. A wireless Card is an essential component for wireless desktop computer. This card uses an antenna to communicate through microwaves. A wireless Card in a desktop computer usually is connected using the PCI bus. Other connectivity options are USB and PC card. Integrated WNIC's are also available, (typically in Mini PCI/PCI Express Mini Card form).
NIC - Network Interface card (sometimes also called a network adaptor card).
