By reliable I believe you actually mean will it protect you from malware (malicious code). There are many different types of malware including viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, worms and rootkits. No program is perfect, however Kasperky is very effective anti-malware program. I myself do not use it myself but would still be using it if it were for the ease of use of Avast internet Security. For your information if you decide to use Kaspersky do not install any other anti-malware program. This is because if two or more anti-malware programs are installed they may interefere with one another leaving you more vulnerable.
