Internet Explorer for Mac was discontinued in 2002. It is possible to run it in older versions of Mac OS X. Internet Explorer for Windows can be run in Windows on Intel-based Macs via Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop for Mac, or VMWare Fusion.
The MLXChange program was designed for use with Windows Internet Explorer browser. It can be used on Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 but not yet with Mac.

In internet dictionary IE5 stands for Internet Explorer version 5. This internet browser is available on Windows PCs by default but they can also be installed on Mac computers.
