There may be an option in bios to turn this off or you could just turn the PC off at the mains when you are finished using it.

When the machine is turned off..? Open up the computer and look whether or not the type is wrote on the ram sticks. It may have the type wrote on it, mine does. I don't personally know another way whilst the system is turned off..

creeeeeeeeep! yeah. their is a PC program that was designed for security web cam purposes but people have used it now for turning on any web cam they want, the bad thing is that especially laptop don't have lights when they are on, someone could be watching you now.... it take about 10mins to turn them on/off... it does not even give you the ip address of which PC turned it on.
