The iPad is a computer of sorts, but it uses a different type of processor than a standard computer. Along with all the components are on a single board, not modular like desktops and laptops.

I would say the ipad is better than the iPod. The ipad does more stuff, easier to surf the web. But the ipod is a lot cheaper than the ipad. There is a website that i recommend, its called lightinthebox.com. They have some pretty god prices for tablets. About in the hundreds. I am going to buy a tablet from there too. It is an android.
