There are external floppy drives that can be attached to a computer via the parallel port. I am unaware of any standalone adapter that would allow you to adapt an existing drive.

How many floppy drives can connect one floppy drive cable inside a computer case?

Normally a floppy drive interface can be used to connect two floppy disk drives. However this may vary from system to system, some systems may also have two interfaces. It may be necessary to purchase a floppy drive cable with two connection headers.

Can I connect a 2.5 inch hard drive to the floppy drive interface?

No. The floppy drive interface and the mini-ata interface on many 2.5 inch hard disks may appear compatible, but they are not.

Can you create an adapter that plugs into a floppy drive and is linked to a usb cable?

The technical knowledge required to build such a device is beyond most people. It is easier and probably actually cheaper to purchase a USB floppy drive.

Is there an Adapter to connect a floppy drive to usb?

No. However, there are adapters that would allow you to replace a floppy drive with an SD card reader. There are also special floppies that can hold an SD card, so you can use it in a classic floppy drive. If you need to use USB, you will need to install a USB controller in an available PCI expansion slot.

What is common name for the data cables used on floppy?

The common name for the data cables used on floppy drives is "floppy ribbon cable." These cables typically have a flat, multi-conductor design and connect the floppy drive to the computer's motherboard. They usually feature a 34-pin connector for the floppy drive interface.

How would I connect an internal 3.5 Floppy disk drive to a motherboard that doesn't have a ribbon cable connector?

Use an external USB floppy drive. If you MUST have internal.... if you're good and creative you -might- be able to disassemble an external USB floppy drive and mount it like an internal drive. Alternatively, you could hunt down an old LS-120 "superdisk" drive. Its an IDE drive (40 pin connector, like your hdd or cdrom) that reads floppies (in addition to high-capacity proprietary disks)

Why do external floppy drives cost more than internal?

External floppy drives use additional hardware to connect to a computer, whereas an internal floppy drive uses a simple cable to connect to components already integrated into most motherboards until very recently. Another factor is that external USB floppy drives are a seldom-used item, whereas an internal floppy drive could be leftover stock from when they were a common commodity in every computer.

How do you put pictures from a camera that uses floppy disks onto a computer?

Usually, you will just need to insert the floppies into the floppy disk drive on a computer. If your computer does not have a floppy drive (most made since 2003 don't), you will need to purchase an external floppy drive. These connect to your computer through a USB port. After you plug it in and insert a disk, you should be able to find the drive and view your pictures.
