Having a fear of sending or receiving emails themselves is incredibly irrational from the point-of-view of most people. I have searched and have not found any results that support that it exists, but it could theoretically. A much more common fear however is the fear of checking email, not so much the actual act of sending or receiving. This stems from how some people feel they can never know what form of bad news can appear at any time on their email, such as reporting something to do, a financial issue, or something related to government. I know this for I am one such person who hates to check his email, for I feel most people reserve bad news exclusively for email. Is it a phobia? Your call.
