Why will my laptop only accept DVD's not CD's?
Hi, I have a Sony Vaio 2012 edition I think and it was working perfectly fine, and still is.. but it just will not accept CD's! It accepts DVD's and I can watch films perfectly, but when i insert a CD into the drive it spins and just stops. I've tried to get around this by using another laptop to extract the music files from a CD and then use a memory stick to try to get them onto my laptop but my laptop refuses to recognise the files as music and will not play them. I'm pretty sure there isn't an issue with the drive, because as I said DVD's run perfectly.. its just CD's and music files that it refuses to accept. Any ideas on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. thanks :)
