There really aren't any. Windows XP has been out for a very long time; a computer with Windows XP can be had for extremely little money (possibly $20 or less).Windows 98 hasn't been supported in a very long time, and thus has a lot of security vulnerabilities that put the user at risk. New hardware won't have Windows 98 drivers, and most new software won't run on Windows 98. Most popular office applications of the past decade (such as from Office 97 on up) run fine on Windows XP, as well as a good majority of games.
Windows 2000
Windows 2000
Windows 2000
Windows Xp Professional.
Windows 7 will be the best choice for a laptop computer. Vista is the older Microsoft operating system, and has more bugs and unsupported features built in.
Both are poor choices for a modern computer network, as they receive no security updates from Microsoft. Windows 95/98/Me and Windows 2000 all have networking support. Unless a specific network type is needed, such as a Windows domain, networking is pretty much an afterthought, and the type of applications that are going to be run will dictate the operating system of choice more than what protocols are supported.
the only logical choice is: Your computer detect a trouble maybe on MEMORY or HARD DISK DRIVE.
I would recommend a Windows computer, not a Mac. This is because most people prefer Windows. Secondly, if you use Windows XP, use Professional. If Windows 7, use Professional. Windows 7 would be the best choice. Also, use Intel processors since they are surprisingly fast.
If your computer is part of a domain, you won't see the "Switch User" choice on logout. This is because that functionality is disabled for Domain-homed Windows machines.
macs rule (thats a pro) the computer is a lot safer than a windows but you cant network or use files on a windows so yeah but you can dualboot to windows so really it's your choice MAC RULES!!!
The type of computer you should buy is really dependent on its purpose. If you believe that you will be moving the computer frequently, then the all-in-one is a better choice. Otherwise, the tower computer, for the same price, likely has far better specifications.
I have vista on one hd and windows 7 on another, can I run the two witha choice at start up ?
