RAID is useful in a computing environment because it means that if one of the disks fails for some reason then the database and information stored is not lost. The faulty disk can be taken out and replaced with a new one whilst the system is still running so there is no downtime and users are unaffected.
RAID provides two main advantages: space and data security
What are the three main reasons for using RAID?
RAID is implemented using a RAID controller on the motherboard or on a RAID controller card. RAID is enabled in the BIOS.
Raid on Berlin happened in 1760-10.
Raid on Nassau happened in 1703-10.
The police conducted a raid on the drug house.
RAID 10
Raid on Choiseul happened on 1943-10-28.
The Great Raid was created on 2005-08-10.
It is a combination of RAID 1 and RAID 0. It takes at least four disks for RAID 10. Refer to A+ at Ch. 6 pages 258.
Indian Ocean raid happened on 1942-04-10.
St. Albans Raid happened on 1864-10-19.
