You don't have the feeling of making it yourself.
"It is too expensive."

This isn't actually true. granted buying the software and training people to use it quite pricey. however when compared to actually having to design and build models to test. Using design software is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Say you had to design a new aircraft wing, its would be a lot cheaper to use a design software package and test it in a virtual environment, rather than having to build a dozen wings to see how far you can push them until they fail.

The main disadvantages of CAD software such as solidworks is, its too easy to design something that cant actually be built in real life due to material restrictions. For example, a colleague of mine was mucking around with it and as part of a project he had the wheels on his car composed of water.

What does a computer aided design an computer aided manufacture look like?

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) involves using software to create precise drawings and models of products, allowing designers to visualize and test concepts in a virtual environment. This can include 2D sketches or 3D models, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in the design process. Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) then takes these designs and translates them into instructions for machinery, enabling automated production processes. Together, CAD and CAM streamline the workflow from design to manufacturing, reducing errors and improving productivity.

What is CAM and CAD?

CAM is Computer Aided Manufacturing, and is associated with CNC machines (Computer Numeric Control). CAD is Computer Aided Design, which is making drawings and plans using software on a computer instead of on paper. There is also CAE, Computer Aided Engineering, which is computer simulation of physical objects and events.

Advantages of using computer aided design in film making movies?

Computer aided design is not necessarily an appropriate tool for film making, unless there are structures required for the set that can be designed most economically using this tool.

What does CAD and CAM mean in technology?

CAD is Computer Aided (or Assisted) Design (or Drafting). It is the creation of design drawings using a computer. CAM is Computer Aided (or Assisted) Manufacturing. It uses computer-controlled tools to shape, drill, join and otherwise manipulate objects. The tool controls may be derived from a CAD plan, or they can be recorded from a skilled operator performing the function.

Do I have a virus if the computer screen goes black while I was working on the computer?

this can be many things, your computer could have a virus, your computer could have a burnt backlight ( if is a old computer 3-5 years old) or if you are continually using the same program or website you might want to contact the manufacture. Like I said it kind of depends if you are using the same program/ website or if you have a old computer. If your computer is old or if you are not using the same using the program take it to the nearest computer depot/ computer manufacture . Resources: Took computer classes for 2 years

What is computer aided design?

Computer Aided Design (CAD) encompasses using computer software to design 3D models of objects on the computer, usually with the intention of using a 3D printer to create the object in real life and display it to others.

What is computer aided learning?

Computer Aided Learning is using computers for education purposes. People can do things like get a piece of software that will teach them a course, like a foreign language. The software will have lessons and exercises in whatever the subject is. The software could be used as part of an overall educational course. By using the computer it will help the person to learn. It can be for children to help their education or for adults. Anyone can benefit.
