You would use the bold button.

The button in the Font group that contains an uppercase A next to a lowercase A is the Change Case button. It is used to change the case of selected text to uppercase, lowercase, or other formats.

If you click the grow font button too many times and make the font size too big, you can click a keyboard combination until the desired font is displayed. On a PC, click the ctrl and the minus symbol at the same time. On a Mac, press the Apple key and the minus symbol at the same time.
At the bottom right of the Font group click on the ShowDialog button.

Hold CTRL and Shift press the + or = button to make the font bigger, to make it smaller hold CTRL and Shift and press the - or _ button. Hopefully that helps :D
There is a button that says change color font, where you click it and then pick what ever color you want to be in.
