The command key on Mac is equivalent to the control key on windows. However, there are some programs that use the control and not the command key.

You use the any key
The Find command will do it. If you go to the Edit menu, it is there. You can also press and hold the Ctrl key and press the F key.
The product key for software is usually found on a sticker on the package. When you buy software via download, your product key is sent to you digitally. Product keys are used to verify that you are the owner of a verified copy of the software, and the key can be used only once, or by the verified owner when changing computers. Pirated software may have a product key, but usually it is invalid and once read, can indicate that your copy is pirated. Most pirated software lacks a product key.
Alt and Ctrl key are special keys. Then can be used as quick menu button or can be used to execute a program. You can also use them to do a shortcut key command.
Product keys often come with a "new" copy of a PC product, in the event one purchases a product second hand or finds a product out of its wrapping then the key may be already used and registered to another place or user or just plain lost. If you do not have the product key handy and know that it has not yet been used then you can always try to call the manufacturer of the product to see if another key can be issued.

To undo a command the short cut key is used. The shortcut key to UNDO is Control+Z.
