When you use the New Line command (Shift + Enter) in a text column, it creates line breaks without starting a new paragraph, which can disrupt the tab settings. To adjust the tabs, you can highlight the text and use the ruler at the top of your document to set the desired tab stops. Alternatively, you can access the paragraph settings and modify the tab stops directly in the dialogue box, ensuring all lines within the column align correctly.
