Windows Explorer and My Computer.
Windows Vista provides two tools for exploring the files and folders on your computer- WINDOWS EXPLORER and the COMPUTER WINDOW. Both display the contents of your computer, using icons to represent drives, folders, and files.
Windows Explorer, are you stupid or something??
In Windows, a folder is basically a container to hold your files. It is similar to folders in real life. In a file box (in this case, a computer) it holds many folders (in this case, folders). But inside the folders, are pictures and doucuments. Same thing on Windows. It can also hold other folders, video, notepad doucuments, Windows Media Player files, and lots of other files of sorts. To view hidden folders open Windows Explorer or My Computer. From there select the Tools tab at the top of the window. Then click on Folder Options, from there select "view all hidden folders".
I believe you might have the wrong program in mind - Internet Explorer does not have a Folders option. However - * Windows* Explorer does. Windows Explorer is the program that opens when you want to browse files on your own computer (i.e. My Computer, My Documents, etc.). If you go to My Computer (which opens Windows Explorer), you should be able to go to Tools -> Folder Options.
The application program included with Windows that allows users to view the hierarchy of folders and the files within them is called File Explorer. It provides a graphical interface for navigating through the file system, managing files and folders, and performing tasks such as copying, moving, and deleting items.
Yes, NTFS in Windows XP Professional supports file compression. Users can compress individual files or entire folders, reducing the amount of disk space they occupy. This feature is useful for managing storage, especially on systems with limited disk capacity. However, it may slightly impact system performance when accessing compressed files.
