Having helped Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak set up the Apple Computer company in 1976 Ronald Wayne was given a ten per cent share of the new company's stock. As Wayne did not like the idea of being responsible for the possible debts of the company he sold his share after a couple of weeks for $800. By 1982 his share of the company would have been worth over one billion dollars. He was last heard of working as an engineer for a defense contractor in California.
