To record movies from a DStv PVR to your PC, you generally need a video capture device that connects your DStv decoder to your computer. First, connect the output (usually HDMI or composite) from the DStv PVR to the input of the capture device, and then connect the capture device to your PC via USB. Use recording software on your PC to capture the video while playing the movie on your DStv PVR. Be sure to check the copyright laws in your region regarding recording content.

Yes, you can connect a Wiztech 8020 HD PVR to a PC using the appropriate video capture software and hardware. Typically, you would use an HDMI or AV output from the PVR and connect it to a video capture card or device on your PC. Once connected, you can use software like OBS or VLC to record or stream the content from the PVR. Ensure that you have the correct drivers and settings configured for optimal performance.
If your Bell PVR isn't allowing you to watch and record simultaneously, it may be due to limitations in the number of tuners available. Most PVRs have a set number of tuners, and if all are in use or if the device is not configured correctly, it can prevent this functionality. Check your PVR model's specifications to confirm its capabilities and ensure that you're not exceeding its recording limits. Additionally, restarting the PVR may help resolve temporary issues.

Hands down the best option is Hauppage's PVR, either the regular version or the Gaming version. The difference is that the Gaming PVR is specifically designed to format captured videos for upload to YouTube. The Regular PVR has more output options, but you have to do a little more if you want to put it up on YT. The other option is an AverMedia HD Game Capture device. While the Hauppage PVR is the choice if you really want professional results in HD, the AverMedia isn't bad; most gamers have used the AverMedia before moving up to the Hauppage. The Hauppage isn't cheap, but it's worth it. The blue PVR is the Regular version; the green is the Gaming PVR. You can see them at the links below.
