MDF stands for Master Database File. It is a primary database file in SQL server, you can't start SQL server without mdf file.
MDF = Master Database File
Media Descriptor File.
One can archive an mdf file relatively easily if one knows how. To do so, one must right click on the file, click on properties, and then click on the box that says "Archive" by it.
You must first have a mount able file such as a MDF or MDS file.
To convert an MDF file (which is typically a data file used by SQL Server) into a PDF file, you'll first need to extract the data from the MDF file using a database management tool like SQL Server Management Studio. Once the data is retrieved, you can export it to a format like CSV or Excel. Finally, you can use a PDF converter or print the data to PDF using software that supports PDF creation, such as Microsoft Word or a dedicated PDF printer.
It really depends on how you obtained the file if it was a download chances are it was created with Alcohol 120% as some sort of an image file. Otherwise if you were browsing your computer and were just curious about the file .Mdf is typically used by MSSQL (Better known as Microsoft SQLServer). So to answer your question the 2 major culprits in this would be either Alcohol 120% or Microsoft SQLServer. Hope this helps!
I downloaded Daemon Tools pro ver. 4.10 and tried to mount .mds file and an error occurs. It shows "Unable to mount image, file not accessible". Is that because .mdf doesn't exict, I only have .mds file.
