Click on the paragraph marker on the standard toolbar.Press and hold the Ctrl key and the Shift key and press the 8 key.Go to the Tools menu, pick Options and the click on the View tab, and from there you can click to show the formatting marks you want.
It is on the Formulas tab, in the Auditing section. To hide or show formulas you can also just press Ctrl and the `key, which is the key beside the 1 key on your keyboard.
