Rather than yards of expensive and extensive outdoor Fencing, a Petsafe Wireless system contains animals within a set perimeter using radio frequencies. The dog or cat wears a collar, with in-built receiver, and once the owner plugs in the transmission box, an adjustable perimeter can be set up. If the animal strays beyond the boundaries set up, the collar emits a loud beeping, which if the animal ignores and continues to stray, will be accompanied by a small static shock. This will correct the straying behaviour of the animal over time.
