Microsoft Word includes a template for a manual. Access it through the dialog box that comes up when you go to the File... New menu, NOT the toolbar button - that just gives a blank document. MS Word is, it even contains a template for a manual that you can edit to suit your own needs. Use the File... New menu, NOT the New document toolbar button.
