To switch from a cordless laptop mouse to the laptop's built-in touchpad, simply disconnect the cordless mouse by turning it off or unplugging its USB receiver. If the touchpad doesn't activate automatically, you may need to press the designated function key (often labeled with a touchpad icon) or adjust the settings in your laptop's control panel under "Mouse" or "Touchpad." Additionally, ensure that the touchpad is enabled in the device settings.
You Plug a USB mouse into a USB Drive in the laptop, and now you can use your usb mouse with your laptop for anything.
The enter key...... Come on who doesnt know that!
There is a USB slot on the side of the laptop, but the mouse USB in there.
move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard, or if it's a laptop, press the power button.

A wireless Microsoft mouse is a good mouse to use for a laptop. A wireless mouse is recommended because it is easier to use without wires getting in the way.
Why would you use a cordless mouse on top of your laptop? That's kind of a weird idea...
You can buy an external mouse and hook it up to your laptop, they can go as cheap as $5-$10 dollars for a mouse. Or if you dont want to haul around an external mouse, you can unscrew your laptop and buy a replacement mouse trackpad, the whole repair is about $50.00-$60.00
You use the mouse to look around while moving. Unfortunately, if you have a laptop (like I do), they are designed so you cannot press a key and move the mouse at the same time. This problem can be solved by buying a USB mouse.
Sometimes you can just press the spacebar, but usually you just click on the pause button with your mouse. (StarStripe) My Laptop has a pause key... but its probably because most games past Windows 2000 didnt use that pause key... so its basically useless.
USB mouse should go into most laptops.
