Use the Undo command. You can do it in the menu or by pressing the undo icon or pressing the Ctrl - Z key combination.
Undo
The command is normally called "Undo". It is often located on the "Edit" menu; there may also be a button, often with a curved arrow pointing to the left. Some programs - such as Microsoft Word - allow multiple levels of undo.
press command + Z to undo and command + Y to redo. or else, if you go to the edit drop-down menu, the 1st choice is undo and the 2nd choice is redo. there is also the undo and redo buttons next to the print button on your 1st and highest horizontal toolbar. they are 2 arrows.

Ctl Z does nothing (neither does command Z or Option/alt Z). In my prefs I have it set to undo up to 64 steps. I have restarted Blender, nothing. Neither the shortcut or the menu Undo command works. Google doesn't turn up anything.

Spell check is on the Review tab, in the Proofing section, for Excel 2007.
The undo command is useful because it helps you remove mistakes. Many programs will allow you to undo many mistakes with a few keystrokes.
