I got a bit of dusting spray on our new LCD screen. To remove it, a soft, damp wash cloth seemed to do the trick. I just wet the cloth (leaving a bit of it still dry) rung it out and made gentle but firm circular motions with the cloth along the length of the smear. There were little peripheral smudges that I attended to in the same fashion after I had taken care of the main smudge. After doing this, I took the remaining dry portion of the cloth and very gently wicked away any remaining moisture using the same motion as before, and paying special attention to the the groove where the screen met the frame, so as to be sure there was no moisture left behind in the little nooks and crannies.

Be sure to use a cloth that is of a very soft texture --I wouldn't use textured paper towels or anything like that --they might scratch the screen, and then you'd have a whole new worry on your hands.
